We are always SO excited to bring you guys new, up-and-coming brands that we are covering for the first time here on MakeupFOMO! Hank & Henry Beauty is launching new shade combinations of their My Alter Ego Eye Kits on Monday, 3.04! The three new kits include Madame Benjamin, Lady Soho, & Petty In Pink, each with 10g of product and with a super pretty shimmery outer packaging! The kits include two eyeshadow shades in the top and a loose shade within the container on the bottom. The thing we love about Hank & Henry is that they give a percentage of their profits to non-profits! They will likely retail for $37 just like their existing shades do.
Can we just talk about how unique this packaging is?! The outside is glam AF with the bling and sparkle, plus the logo is just so cool and different. It’s sort of like a penguin, don’t you think? It’s cute! We also dig the layout of the shadows – two pressed shadows on top and a little inner container for the loose pigment! The top shades include one matte and one shimmer while the loose shade seems to be more of a metallic finish so hello, YES! We love the assortment of finishes! We are also totally eyeing Petty in Pink – those mauvey tones are definitely my jam currently. We do have two complaints, though: the first being, why the heck is this so damn expensive?! I mean, $37 for 3 shadows is hefty – that’s over $12 per shade. Yes, the packaging is kind of complex and decorative so that’s surely adding to the cost but danggggggg. Also, these seem just a little bit bulky. The big, square shape may make it a bit difficult to store and definitely too big to travel with, especially when smaller palettes with wayyyyy more shades would fit into a makeup bag better and make alot more sense in terms of practical use. But despite those cons, we are still totally curious about this brand! From the name to the packaging to these color combos – we have our eyes on Hank & Henry for sure!
