Dose of Colors: Holibae, Winter Hues & The Snuggle Is Real

We know you’re already hooked just by the sound of those adorable names, right?? Dose of Colors is releasing two NEW Holiday 2017 Liquid Lipstick Sets in Holibaes & The Snuggle is Real on Friday, 11.10! Each set includes three new matte liquid lipsticks for $29. Holibae has beauuuitiful red shades in Extra Saucy, Bittersweet & Strawberry Pop. The other set, The Snuggle is Real includes Warm N Fuzzy, Lazy Dazy & Let’s Cuddle. If you dig DOC and their liquid lipstick formula, you have GOT TO jump on this value – these lipsticks sell individually for $18 but in these sets, each lippie is less than $10 each… that’s a holiday steal. And don’t forget, each shade is BRAND NEW!

The more nudeish of the sets, The Snuggle is Real, is what I’m looking at. Those shades are just SOOOOO up my alley! The shade Let’s Cuddle is a very warm-leaning peachy nude, Lazy Daisy is your perfect perfect every day shade (you know the one that isn’t so bold but also isn’t the exact same color as your lips… its right there in the middle. The perfect mid-toned cool pink that will flatter literally every skin tone) and Warm N Fuzzy is a bolder, brighter pink that has a slight warm, coralish redish undertone (probably a confusing description but it is SO pretty so just trust me on that). If you are looking for a perfect gift for that lipstick lover in your life, look no further! This set will be perfect for just about every skin tone and every makeup lover – it’s neutral and simple enough to have wide appeal but is also wearable enough to fit right into anyone’s makeup routine. Plus, you cannot beat the value. This is just delicious.

The Holibae set is BOLD BOLD BOLD & we are not mad about it. Strawberry Pop is seriously that and it POPS (it’s more of a bright warm pinkish red shade, perfect for summer but not much of a holiday tone), Bittersweet is actually very similar (it’s just slightly more orange toned than pink toned but still pulls very very bright, also a very summer/spring shade in my opinion) and Extra Saucy has TOO MUCH SAUCE (just kidding, it’s flawless!! It’s a slightly deeper, vampier shade but isn’t so deep that it’s daunting – think a wearable berry). While all of these shades are absolutely beautiful, I think it certainly pairs in comparison to the other. Not only are two of the three of these shades incredibly similar, but they also aren’t the most seasonal lippies either. However, if you’re gifting for someone that loves lippies of all shapes & sizes all year long, I don’t think this is a bad choice! The value is totally there and the shades are really lovely.
