Here we go again… Natasha Denona is launching their beauuutiful new Lila Palette tomorrow, Tuesday, 9.12! This palette will be available at Sephora, Beautylish, and Natasha Denona’s own website. This palette will cost….. wait for it… $129. No, we did not make a typo there, this palette is outrageously expensive.
We’ve all come to expect that from ND though, right? Not that that makes us cool with it, but we’ve stopped being surprised by the insane price tag. What we are endless surprised by, though, are these shades. OH BOY. These shades are STUNNING! I may be partial because I just die for a good purple or berry shadow but the combo here definitely has mass appeal. There is a lovely combination of warm and cool tones that can be incorporated to make a seriously dope look! However, there are quite a few shimmer shades here; 11 in total with only 4 mattes. Some of the shimmers do seem to pull more satin than sparkly but, nonetheless, the balance is definitely a little off.
The quality of these shades are, without a doubt, top notch. The blendability and lack of fall out are RAVED about! The shimmers also pack a tonnnnnn of punch without the help of any enhancer (pretty impressive, we must say). But for almost $9 per shade?! Ugh, that’s tough. I suppose if you’re a collector and like to invest your money in super luxurious high-end, high-quality shadows, this is totally up your alley! But for the everyday consumer, let’s be real. We are NOT trying to drop a car payment on shimmer-heavy, run-of-the-mill palette. Truly, there isn’t a shade here that you can’t find somewhere else. The packaging may try to suck you in but STAY STRONG! I just can’t recommend something this offensively overpriced.
I don’t know if I’ll ever make the leap to buy a ND palette, but they seem like an absolute dream!
Omg yes they look so beautiful every time but I will never be able to find eyeshadow worth that much 🙈
This one definitely caught my eye! Might buy in the future, unless someone comes out with a colour story dupe lol
I think someone totally will! Maybe colourpop will do it again like they did with the sunset palette!
