NARS: Spring 2018 Color Collection

They’re a weeeeeee bit on the early side but we aren’t mad NARS is releasing their wonderful new Spring 2018 Color Collection on Thursday, 1.18! This limited edition collection includes brand new shades AND formulas for their lip, eye, and cheek products! The collection includes NEW Velvet Shadow Sticks in metallic shades Frioul and Galice ($29) and NEW Lip Covers (a creamy lip gloss that packs tons of color) in shades Embrasse Moi, Under Arrest, Summer Fire, Hell Gate ($28). We are especially excited about these! They are literally what they claim to be; Lip Covers. They have a lightweight formula that coats your lips in a creamy, non-sticky gloss (kind of sounds like a dream gloss, right??) Plus, the packaging is simply stunning (per usual with NARS) with the sleek matte black exterior and super handy color indicator across the middle of the tube.

Those aren’t nail polishes you see there , no no. That’s a Liquid Blush in the shade Hot Tin Roof (a really lovely shimmering brick red with orange understones). This will retail for $30.
This liquid blush, by virtue of being a cream consistency, blends sooooo beautifully on the skin! And, as to be expected, it is quite pigmented so a little goes a long way. I totally see this as a perfect summer blush shade! It will look sort of like a baby sun burn which is always so flattering on tan skin. Just remember – don’t forget to apply this BEFORE your powder! Cream products always end up real wonky when blended over powder.

Lastly, we have a Highlighting Blush in Free Soul (a light shimmering pink) – this will retail for $30. This beauty is a satin powder that provides a sheer (but stunning) glow to the skin. The beauty of more sheer highlights is the versatility – you can use this on no makeup days to add just a little bit of life to your skin on dull days OR you can build it up for more POP! BAM! The smooth formula applies seamlessly and melts perfectly into the skin to provide an undetectable yet radiant finish to any look. It seems only a bit odd to me that NARS is only releasing ONE shade of the liquid blush & the highlighting blush – most collections include a few shades of each item, ya know? It’s certainly a rather small release but certainly a lovely one nonetheless!
